Kim Shaklee

Kim Shaklee is a Colorado native whose passion for wildlife began early in her childhood. She was encouraged and inspired by her grandfather, who practiced as a large animal Veterinarian for nearly 50 years. Over the course of the last 30 years, her sculpting career has flourished by creating diverse subjects ranging from land to sea.

Shaklee is a Fellow and past President of the American Society of Marine Artists, a nationally known non-profit art organization founded forty years ago that is comprised of nearly 500 members, whose works have been exhibited in over 100 accredited Museums across the nation, including Easton’s Academy Art Museum and the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, MD.

Shaklee’s works are included in many prestigious collections, including the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C., Oklahoma City Zoo, Little Rock Zoo, Azalea Park Sculpture Garden in Summerville, SC, and Benson Park Sculpture Garden in Loveland, CO.
