Sina P. Kurman

Hometown: Alloway, New Jersey

Sina was introduced to decorative decoy carving when she attended a Ducks Unlimited dinner in Centerton, NJ, where Bill Veasey was demonstrating decorative decoy carving. She went on to study with Veasey, and began to develop her own style. She went on to place second in the Professional Class of the World Class Competition in Ocean City, MD, in 1984 and 1985.  That achievement resulted in an invitation from Bill Perry to participate at the Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland.  She says it has been both a privilege and a pleasure to participate in this nationally recognized exhibit.
