Kurt Robinette

Brigham City, Utah

Since early childhood, Kurt has been passionate about his love for the outdoors and especially birds. He has been a licensed falconer most of his life, training dozens of hawks and falcons to hunt in cooperation with him over the years.

He has authored several books and numerous articles on bird sculpture and birds of prey, which also included his photography.

Kurt’s bird sculptures are created using a time-honored traditional sculpture medium: terracotta fired clay. Once a piece is sculpted in fine professional stoneware clay, it is kiln fired and then painted using the highest quality oil paints in an impressionistic painting style.
Robinette is well known for his emphasis on the natural composition and movement of the birds he portrays.
