Audie Bloise

Hometown: Moravian Falls, NC

As a child in Puerto Rico, Audie was fascinated with the birds all around him and spent his free time observing birds. His interest in animals and birds led to a career in veterinary medicine. He discovered bird carving in 1982 and vowed that he would someday master the art form. Audie is self taught with the help of books and articles. His talent was first recognized at the Ward World Championship Carving Competition in 2009. He has continued to advance and receive awards at the Ward and currently competes in the Masters Division.
