"Learning to Use Your Digital Camera - For Beginning Photographers"

If you are just beginning your digital photography journey, this class is for you! This class will focus on the basics of digital photography and help participants learn how to get the most out of their digital camera. By popular demand, Chris will also provide critiques of class participant images, so bring examples of your best photos - and your worst!

"Advanced Techniques in Digital Nature Photography - For Intermediate to Advanced Photographers"

For Chris, photography is not just about the end results, but the entire photographic experience. His passion is in the challenge of finding great subjects in great light. Chris' award winning work has been published in several magazines and calendars throughout his photographic career.

"Simplifying Landscape Painting"

Wildlife Artist, Heiner Hertling of Milford, Michigan
Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Fee: $75 (Limit 15)

This workshop focuses on landscape painting and how to simplify the process. Beginners as well as accomplished artists will benefit from the class, which is similar to the artist's PBS TV series, "Your Brush With Nature." The focus will be on the use of oils in painting natural landscapes. All participants will finish the day with their own completed painting.

A member of the prestigious Society of Animal Artists, Heiner has won seven Duck and Trout Stamp contests and has been most recently the featured artist at the 2006 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition. He paints, sculpts and teaches, helping others to share his passion to create art.

"Designing and Carving a Winning Shorebird"

Award-winning Carver, Del Herbert of Chula Vista, California
Thursday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fee: $75 (Limit 20)

Del will discuss and demonstrate design, composition and the little techniques that go into a winning shorebird carving. Class participants will finish an avocet head/bust using hand tools. A slightly shaped blank will be provided, but students should provide their own knives and carving supplies.

Del is a Ward World Championship carver and has published numerous articles on shorebirds, and has authored "Championship Service Class Shorebirds."

Participants in all classes will receive a confirmation and more specific details after registration is complete.
