Chesapeake Carving Gallery
Exhibit Hours: Friday & Saturday 10:00am – 6:00pm
Sunday 10:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Academy Art Museum
What began as the need for utilitarian hunting gear has evolved into exquisite artwork through the hands of skilled carvers. The spectacular contemporary pieces presented at the Carving Gallery bear only distant resemblance to those early decoy antecedents. A full range of work is presented from extraordinarily talented artists, depicting waterfowl, songbirds, and other wildlife.
